Sri Ganesh Secondary school (also simply known as Ganesh School) is a public school in Narayansthan-5, Baglung, Nepal. Established as a primary school in 1980, the school, as of 2015 offers classes from nursery to Grade 10. The school is very famous for its excellent result in the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations. Though Ganesh school is a government school, it uses English as a primary language of instruction, which is very rare in Nepal’s public schools.

Ganesh school has relatively good infrastructure and teaching materials. Many international and Nepali organizations, such as Help Nepal Network, Social Welfare Association of Nepal and World Education,  have helped the school to build class rooms, buy computers, teaching materials and also to hire qualified teachers from different parts of Nepal.

Local political parties have signed an agreement and have declared Ganesh School as a peace. Because of that the school doesn’t get affected by any political strikes and band has which are quite frequent in Nepal.

Ganesh school has received green laptops of the One Laptop Per Child campaign and its pupils have the opportunity to take a computer class already from a primary grade.
